Mango is very outgoing and confident. She may have come from a shelter but she trotted into her foster home like she owned the place. She checked out the accommodations and then heartily approved. No problems with pool or dog door. Mango is super playful and not afraid to use her full beagle voice. She loves everyone she meets and is totally into snuggles and human affection. There are two older beagles in her current household and she interacts with them well, showing respect and accepting corrections. Toys are fascinating for her and she sometimes carries them into her crate to "be alone with them", but she will also try to share them in play with the other dogs. Of course Mango is very food motivated and Foster mom wisely crates her for meals or when she gives her a chewy (bully sticks yum!). She crates up well when her foster mom has to leave her at home alone, and also at night... although she has appreciated sleeping on the bed too. House training has been a breeze with ZERO accidents and her house manners in general are good -- she knows "No". Outside she does occasionally like to dig, so foster mom keeps an eye on that. Leash training needs a bit of work, but because she is pretty high energy, we'd really like to see Mango have a fenced yard. No heartworms with this little one, but she does have an occasional limp which is caused by an injury she apparently suffered quite some time ago which caused a break in her pelvis. However, after a thorough exam the vet stated that Mango has accommodated for the injury over time and is no longer in any pain or discomfort. She just has the occasional limp and her sit position is slightly different. Mango is ready for a sleepover whenever you are!
